DID YOU KNOW?

66% of Georgia's 4th-grade students cannot read at a proficient level.

There is a literacy gap in Georgia and the entire country that is closely tied to both race and socioeconomic status. You can make an impact by getting involved with Everybody! Wins Atlanta.

Power Lunch is a simple way to make a major impact on the life of an elementary student in dire need of improved reading skills, a vision for what their future could be, and a genuine human connection with an adult who cares about their life and future. Mentors donate a half-hour to read out loud to the student during their lunch period. It is a simple way for you to see the immediate impact of your service and feel great that you positively impact the future of a child in need.

StoryTime brings beloved childhood stories to life through live storytelling performances for kindergarten, first, second and third graders. We engage students, encourage the use of their imagination, and help them to develop a love of reading. Each student leaves the StoryTime performance with one new, age-appropriate book to take home and enjoy.

Home Library Project

Having books available at home increases literacy and math skills at all ages. That’s why Home Library Project provides books to low income families so that everyone can continue to read every day! New and gently used books for children and adults are collected, and distributed at schools, community centers, food pantries, and other community spots. The Home Library Project’s mission is to increase literacy and a love of reading for the whole family!
